We still are suffering from the cold weather!  Snow still lingers in the woods and on north facing slopes.  The birds seem not to mind, though.

We still have not had a day above 50 degrees and it does not look like we will have one anytime shortly.  The ground is still frozen a foot deep and we are mostly covered with snow.

We went almost four years without having a visit from a House Sparrow, which happens to be the first sighting of this unwanted bird.  Today, one lone sparrow visited our feeders.  Other sightings

The weather still hasn't broke but we have some Sandhill Cranes, Canada Geese, and Red-winged Blackbirds hanging out in the marsh.  The deer are struggling, as they have eaten all our shrubs in our yard, and clean out our bird feeders daily.  Still seeing tree sparows, juncos.
